Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for  Frederick C. Robie, it  is it an important house in American architecture history.  It has strong horizontal lines, wide overhangs and bands of art glass windows at consistent spacing. The home uses the open floor plan and allows free flow between the areas of the house. The house is a National Historic Landmark.
